Some HDR taken during our stay at Llangollen

Monday morning and before we packed up, we walked into Llangollen to the canal and had a good breakfast at their tea shop.

David's 5th Birthday was shared with Susan & Michael re-newing their vows. So we decided to make a weekend of it and take David upto to Llangollen. We camped Saturday until Monday lunchtime at Tower Farm (strongly reccomended to anyone to visit) and took him on the Steam Railways. Weather was brilliant, but gets dark earlier now.

A beautiful sunny day at the Wroxeter Hotel were my Sister and her Husband Michael re-newed their vows ahead of 30 years marriage on the 29th September. Congratulations.

Our little boy started School today. I hope he enjoys this next phase of his life.

Again experimenting with HDR, so let me know your likes and dislikes. Its all about taste.

Our last full day and an early morning visit to memory filled Parc Carelwyn at Tal-y-bont. Then a train trip to Porthmadog to close our Holiday.

Well, unemployed and no Holiday....Until Lynn agreed to try camping. It was a really good break after months stuck at home with no work. Weather was not bad only rain was in the night, and quite warm.

A warm day, with outbreaks of Sunshine.

Our first full day and the weather is dry & fine, but went cool in the evening, but warmed up nicely with a Barbecue and a power-cut (nothing to do with us though)

This is the real reason for our visit to Cosford 2009 to see the Vulcan return, and we were not to be dissapointed. Support the Vulcan by becoming a member or make a monthly donation at www.vulcantothesky.org it belongs to the people.

A perfect day for Cosford, the weather was fine and there was to be some BIG expectations at the end of the show and as you can see in the collection above, we were not dissapointed.

Our second visit to the Engine House, but due to being out of work we decided it was cheaper to drive to the museum rather than take the train. Promised myself to put this right when/if I get a new job.

My first real attempts at HDR.

More Frosty than yesterday and could not resist another walk out. What a reward to find the Buzzard and a Robin willing to pose. Happy New Year.

The last day of the year and its frosty and foggy, just had to go for a walk.

Merry Christmas, its all about David now. I sensed a change in myself this year, but it could have been the economic fears???

I will add to this collection over the next 2 months as Autumn develops.

Davids 4th Birthday and this year we took him on the Severn Valley Railway. The Engine House was the real highlite of a brilliant day.  

Bank Holiday in Church Stretton. It was supposed to be warm & sunny, but they got that wrong again.

The Holiday begins with a glorious Sun setting into the sea. But we know that tomorrow will not be good with plenty of rain forecast all day.  

After the wasout that was Saturday's non stop rain, it was a relief to get out with the camera.  

A sunny but slightly fresh day saw us visit the Butterfly house in the Vale of Rheido. for the second year running. Stunning is the only word to describe this setting.     

After a pleasent day the winds picked up and we decided to go into Aberystwyth and wander around the castle.  

A Visit to Furnace. As a boy we always drove past here but never stopped. It was wonderful to take time to visit here with a camera.  

Its been a wet day again as you can see from the photos this evening, no chance of a sun tan.  

A sunny and then very wet day at the Silver Mine on the top of the hills 1/2 a mile from the Red Kites. The tour underground was great fun if not a little wet.  

Wednesday morning saw me take a walk up and over the hill to Aberystwyth for some breath taking views, butterflies and RAF Tornados. A very peaceful 2 hours. Sadly I got soaked on the way back down.   

Wednesday afternoon was very wet and cool mostly because we went high up in the hills approx 10miles out of Aberystwyth to visit the Red Kites.

Thursday - Time to come home and the weather is stunning. Still everyone seems happy and still a little money for David to spend.  

A morning out with my Daughter Rebecca yielded some good photos and weather to suit.

Lynn captured a Squirrel one evening while I was at work. Considering she has never used a camera like mine and that she shot all the photos through glass, I think she did very well. See what you think.

There I was planning a quiet morning sitting in the garden watching the birds, when I spotted a mouse darting backwards and forwards. After nuts??? No she was retrieving her young from the bird house were she had given birth...............Magic, Fantastic, a pure joy to be able to catch it on camera. These photos are very much in keeping with my gallery title.

Our anual day out at Cosford was lucky in that the weather stayed dry. But this still made for difficult conditions to take photos in. So some images are not quite what I would have liked. But now and again there are some real Jems.

David had to dress up for an Alien day at Nursary. So we decided he should be an Alien blaster.

Lynn's Dad invited us to go fishing with him at Ellerdine Lakes. The weather was overcast, but it was really peaceful and ideal for photos, especialy the Butterfly.

This was our first visit to Churnet Valley Railway, but deffinately not the last. A fantastic day was enjoyed by us all. http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk

At 7am today we awoke to April snow. I had no idea just how beautifuly transformed the trees had become until together with camera I went for a walk. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them.

A cold day, but a good opportunity to practice with my new camera. I was not dissapointed.

Easter and we stayed at Lynns Sisters near Cambridge, and 25 minutes from RAF Duxford. It was an opportunity to visit the new Airspace Exhibition.

A lovely crisp sunny morning, it was just nice to be out in the fresh air.

Well...it finaly snowed for us this year, but not a great deal, just a dusting. Still could not resist taking a walk around the pool with David. Both of us heavily wrapped up due to our coughs & colds that wont go away.

The January flood season has started, here are a selection of photographs I took of the River Seven flowing under Atcham Bridges on Monday 14th and then later on Sunday 20th January. Also there are pictures of the river flooding through Shrewsbury.

7:00am Saturday morning and an early visit to IronBridge.

Mad as I am, I had to go out in the snow and get some photos. This Camera hobby has really given me something to enjoy.

My Daughter Rebecca brought her achievement shield to show me. Very proud of her she has worked very hard over the last 3 years at school and is looking to go to an animal college. She wants to work with animals. Of course David at 3 years is looking to become the next Fat Controler.

After the Rememberence Service I took a walk with my camera to the Park in Dawley. It was so quiet and peaceful very fitting for the day.

Recuperating after Knee Surgery my Dad took me to Shrewsbury to visit my Mom and on the way back I asked him to stop so I could take some pictures.

A Sunday morning walk with a proper Autumn feel, everywhere the leaves were falling interspersed with Squirrels making ready their Winter stores.

Over two days we visited Telford Town Park in the Drizzle and mist and then Newdale in the Sunshine. Its a good time of the year for Photography.

After a stressful day it was good to walk amongst Natures Autumn with camera in hand and see the things that matter.

Our favourite escape from the 'Rat Race' a Sunday morning at Cosford Museum and a nice cup of coffee and a cake.

Every year we take David out for the day on his Birthday. He said he wanted to see animals so Chester Zoo was his treat, unfortunately Lynn had an operation on her hand only the day befor. But we managed and had a brilliant if tiring day out. The Robin was the photo of the day for me.

Well you have to come home to go away again and you can see by the faces in this collection that no-one wanted to leave. Quite simply the best holiday I have ever had in my adult life.

My self & Rebecca decided to take a walk up the hill & over to Aberystwyth and catch the Sun setting......Bugger the bad knee.

I had not been here since I was a boy, brought back lots of memories.

Lynn drove the Shortcut over the hills to Borth, and what a spectacular view on the top. Borth has changed since I was last there.

Myself & David went for a long walk around the Bay.

This for me was the highlight of the Holiday. The Butterfly House is set in a very tranquil part of the valley. The people who run it are absolutely fantastic, I could have stayed here all day.

After the Train Journey we arrived at the famous Devils Bridge. We started off as fit as fiddles, but as the pictures portray, the going got very tough. Still the Sun was hot, perhaps at the wrong time,but...the Law of the Sod as they say.

My-self and David went for an early morning walk in the showers and winds.

This was a very Stormy day in Aberystwyth, with showers and strong winds.

Monday 20th August 2007 and the Sun finally came out for good. Together with Paul & his family we set off for Devils Bridge.

Saturday 18th August and a wet start to our Holiday.

The summer turned up this weekend and it felt good to be outside again relaxing in the sun. We should all face up to the changes that are coming for our Childrens World.

A rare chance to be out on our own, we decided to visit Church Streton and enjoy the peace of the Shropshire hills.

Much Wenlock, many times driven through as boy and man. But I never realised what a delightful place I had been missing. For my dad also who did not even know of Wenlock Priory even though He and my Mom had visited many times.

Rather than sit at home we decided to ignore the bad weather and take a trip to Llangollen. What an enjoyable day it was.

A brilliant day at the anual Cosford Airshow, were we met up with Paul and Simon Edwards and their mate Paul. Its thanks to these two that I started on Fotopic.

This was a great day out at Hoo Farm, thanks to Lynn for winning free tickets from Beacon Radio.

This is where I experiment with my camera, filters and Lens to get a better knowledge of my Camera.

Went to see my mom in the 'Ideal home' ( she has Alzheimers) and then a gentle walk through the park.

A rare occasion at TI , what with all the redundancies.

A chance for David to explore Enginuity before the hoards of school children landed.

A day out at another local attraction The World Famous Ironbridge.

Thankfully Rebecca still had pictures on her phone of David when he was a baby.

A bank holiday day at Bridgnorth, were David showed his talent for England with his left foot.

A day out at our local Steam railway with Lynns sister Carol, her husband Doug (Sargent Bullock - newly promoted) and their Daughter Nathalie.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster during its latest Overhaul 2007. It will be back in the air next month.

This is parkland where we live and it was such a lovely day to be walking in the Spring sunshine.

This is a side hobby to my aeroplanes.

What can I say, at this age its either all over or just beginning.

Little boy who has never grown up. This is one of my hobbies, as a little lad I used to make plastic kits, but now have the Big Boys versions...Nice.

Holiday at Barmouth first time in a tourer. What fun the chemical toilet was (urghhhh). Also contains continual updates of my family,ect.
